Book Title:  Silent Star

Author:  Tracie Peterson

In the winter of 1944, as WWII rages on, Andy Gilbert carries out his job as a telegram delivery man for the military, giving telegrams to families in his neighborhood of the death of their soldier.   Estella Nelson is a widow, and meets Andy one afternoon, attempting to strike up a conversation. Withdrawn and depressed, Andy answers her questions with as little interaction as possible.
This story is about 2 lonely people, and what happens to ease their pain and isolation, in a small town in Pennsylvania. It’s about witnessing to others, it’s about Jesus Christ’s love and redemption for EVERY person.
I highly recommend this book. Tracie Peterson is a gifted author, and this story warmed my heart.
