I’m finding out how life is a delicate balance, and how fragile we humans are, this year. Not to sound maudlin, but this year I’m coping with my dad’s declining health, and now Hospice stepping in to care for his needs. Each day slips by, and I must make it count for something.
Other family members were sick too, in December, and before that, but when your last parent is, well, slipping slowly into eternity, life, the days, the afternoons, what you do, where and how you spend the time God gave you, they all take on a bigger importance.
Don’t live life for things, live it for people. Make a good difference.
Clumsy, but I hope someone reading this will spend some time soon with someone they usually neglect.
